A positively radiant affair
Few venues in Singapore hold as much ambience as Aura; a stunning 90-seat restaurant sandwiched between two floors of the Singapore National Gallery. With views to rival the best of them, this is one inspiring place. And that means getting creative with the flowers. Perfect.
We were summonsed by Isabel, who's only the Fashion and Beauty writer for Female magazine, to provide the florals for her big day back in July, and we accepted without hesitation. This was the first opportunity we've had to work with Aura, so we were pretty excited to say the least.
Isabel knew exactly what she wanted in terms of the colour scheme, and it revolved around reds, deep pinks and purples, both for her bridal bouquet, hair flowers, and the table arrangements. She wanted an elegant yet organic feel, so we focussed on long-and-low table arrangements, winding, climbing ivy and clematis, and bright, bold roses, peonies and hydrangeas.
An amazing amount of natural light pours through the windows, so each arrangement was lit up beautifully, really bring out out the jewel-like tones of the purple hydrangeas and lisianthus, pink roses, stocks and aster, and the candy-blush of the clematis. It was pretty, but in a grown-up kind of way.
